Shiraz terrorist attack goes on canvas by Hassan Rouholamin

Barbarous terrorist attack in Shiraz has gone on canvas by Iranian expressionist painter Hassan Rouholamin.

Titled ‘Tulips Have Grown from the Blood of Our Land’s Youth’, the artwork is a verse from the famous epic poem composed by Aref Qazvini for the Iranian youth killed during the Constitutional Revolution (1906-1911).

Unveiled on Thursday, the painting shows a woman and her child soaked in their blood during the Wednesday attack on Shah Cheragh, the shrine of Ahmad ibn Musa (AS), the brother of Imam Reza (AS), located in Shiraz.

Rouholamin is best known for his paintings on early Islamic historical events.

The artist has also blended modern events with stories from Islamic history in some of his works.
